Sacramento is the capital of California and the fastest growing city. It is considered as the most soughed tourist’s destinations and estimated that around 6 million visitors visit Sacramento each year.
The Folsom historic museum is located in the downtown area of Folsom which is taken care by the Folsom Historical Society. This wonderful museum housed fascinating collections of artifacts and exhibits the history of the settlement and development of the Folsom area.
The Folsom Historical Society is working with a goal to preserve the history of the Folsom and this reflects in the artifacts from the Maidu Indians. The exhibits of the museum focus on the Gold Rush era and its share in the growth and development of California.
It focuses mainly on the discovery of gold and development of mining camps, ethnic groups, railroad, powerhouse and many more things.
The museum remains open from Tuesday to Sunday from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. |
